2. Merchant' ships are guided by compass as an instrument to guides and direct their movement.

A good wife must guide heart, home and life with the word of God (2. Tim 3:16 - 17).

She must as well be led, directed and guided by the Spirit of God for this helps her to become true daughter of God (Roman 8:1)

3. Merchant ship brings precious cargo from distant land.

A good wife (virtuous woman) must make sure the heavenly blessings are transfered to her home regularly.

Women are gifted when it comes to bringing down information from above. Remember in Luke 23:10 that it was the women that gave the disciples words received from the angles at the tomb of Jesus. Women has strength than men when it comes to bringing down heavenly information down on earth. You must by all means covert this strength to bringing down your home supplies from heaven.

4. Merchant ships endures storms in the sea.

To endure storm in the sea here means enduring had and difficult times, to be patient and strive in hope that things will be better and better for good, that this will surely pass.

As a good wife, there are going to be difficult times that will want to prove so very stubborn and difficult to you. Given up to such situation means you're not that woman the bible called a virtuous woman (good wife).

As a good wife, you must have divine protection on yourself, husband and household when moral, financial and spiritual storm threatens your welfare.

5. Merchant ships are always active and well stocked for long journey.

A good wife must understand season just as it was recorded in Eccl 3.

A good wife helps her husband to save and prepare for the future while a bad wife squandered everything a man works for in the now.

A good wife must always be on duty to comfort, exhort, cheer and encourage her husband and children.

6. Merchant ship do not load and off load by itself.

A good wife must rely on God as the loader and off loader.

Its not the utmost responsibility of a wife to provide for the family. A good wife is a manager of values and resources she worked for or received from her husband.

As a virtuous woman, you must trust God at all times.

7. Merchant ship head for a harbour to unload its cargoes.

Harbour means a place of shelter or refuge. Its a sheltered area for ships.

A goof wife must be the help of the help of the Spirit of God brings her households into the harbour of safety and security in Christ Jesus.

Merchant ship don't keep things only for its own consumption alone, you must be unselfish. Be sacrificial and do not be self-centered. Think of your households as you think for your self.

Let us see this

Proverb 31:14b "She brings her households food from a far [country]

Why food?

Food is figuratively defined as "Anything intended to supply energy or nourishment of an entity or idea."

This very verse 14b is literary not saying only food we can eat with our mouth but anything that will supply us or give us energy to do more after consumption. This energy can be knowledge, wisdom, understanding, ideas, insight, skills, strength etc. In view of this, it's a good responsibility of a godly wife to feed her households with the word of God and other things that after consumption will generate knowledge, wisdom, understanding, insights, ideas, etc in all areas of life.
